Yusof is half Danish, half Arab travels to the Middle Eastern city of Medina - along with his pregnant Danish wife, Sarah. Yusif wants to start a new life with his wife in his father's hometown. He is convinced that this is where he belongs and happiness lies ahead. But shortly after their arrival, He is unintentionally responsible for a beggar boy's death. He is put in prison for murder.

Omar Shargawi Born in 1974 in Denmark for a Palestinian father and Danish mother, Shargawi started his career as a still-photographer before he directed his debut feature film, Ma Salama Jamil (Go With Peace Jamil). My Father from Haifa is his personal documentary, which won Special Jury Award at Muhr Arab Documentary Competition.
