Dima Hamdan is a Palestinian journalist and filmmaker based in Berlin. Since 2007, she has written, directed, and produced several short films in London, Amman, and Berlin. Blood Like Water won the Sunbird Production Award of the Palestine Cinema Days in 2019. As a screenwriter, Dima’s won several grants in recognition of her work, including the Shasha Screenwriting Grant by the Abu Dhabi Film Commission, the Goteborg Development Fund and the Royal Film Commission Development Fund. She participated in several film labs and workshops, including HOTHOUSE - a development atelier by the London Film School, the Rawi-Sundance Middle Eastern Screenwriters’ Lab, Babylon International, Med Film Factory, and Sud Ecriture.
