Dr Anandi Ramamurthy is Reader in Post-Colonial Studies at Sheffield Hallam University. She is the author of Imperial Persuaders: Images of Africa and Asia in British Advertising (2003) and Black Markets: Britain's Asian Youth Movements (2013). She is currently Co-Investigator on an Arts and Humanities Research Council Project called Creative Interruptions in which she is exploring Palestinian Cinema. She has also worked in museums and art galleries in the UK.
