Emrah Kılıç is the Artistic Director of the Istanbul-based Bosphorus Film Festival and Bosphorus Film Lab. He was the founder and administrative coordinator of the monthly review Rabarba Cinema, which published 20 issues. Since 2017, he has been in charge of the promotion of Turkish cinema. To this end, he organises Turkish cinema programmes and film weeks abroad and heads Turkish Cinema booths in Berlin and Cannes film festivals. He has also prepared the books of famous writer and script theorist Robert McKee, titled Story and Dialogue, for publication in Turkish. The projects he was involved in as a producer were realised as a Turkish co-producer of Oscar-winning Bosnian director Danis Tanovic’s latest film, Not So Friendly Neighbourhood Affair (2021), and Azerbaijani director Hilal Baydarov’s latest film, Sermon to the Fish (2022), which world premiered in the 2022 Locarno Film Festival.
