Synopsis
When the flag of Palestine continues to mysteriously reappear on his rooftop even after he takes it down, a Palestinian widower must prove to Israeli soldiers that he didn’t do it - that is, if he is to prevent his home from being demolished.
Palestinian Jerusalemite Mashal Kawasmi was 16 years old the first time he worked as a cinematographer on a film set. A decade later, still going strong, he has worked on dozens of productions, most significantly the award-winning documentary Speed Sisters, a film about Palestinian female racecar drivers. Mashal also co-produced and shot BLTNM’s single hit, “Inn Ann”, which went viral. Mashal Kawasmi, who obtained his bachelor’s degree in film studies at Al-Quds Bard College, is humbly proud to admit that he is one of the few who makes a living making movies full time; a privilege, which he says, helps him to improve his craft and highlight stories from Palestine.
