Irène Challand was the Head of the RTS Documentaries Unit from 2001-2018. Since then, she has joined the SSR-SRG, the Swiss public television and radio directorate, and is responsible for a new project dedicated to public service and a new form of dialogue with society. The RTS Documentaries Unit is now under the responsibility of Steven Artels. RTS broadcasts more than 500 documentaries per year, pre-buys more than 60 and co-produces more than 30 per year. RTS co-produced films by Raed Andoni (Fix Me, Ghost Hunting) and Nicolas Wadimoff (Aisheen, Still Alive in Gaza, The Apollo of Gaza).
