Nehad Khader

To capture the scope of her work, Nehad considers herself to be a cultural historian. She is a filmmaker, curator, editor, and writer whose work in film informs her work as a historian and vice versa. She is senior programmer at Philly’s BlackStar Film Festival and served as the curator of DC’s Palestinian Film & Arts Festival for six years until transitioning into an advisory role. Currently, she has produced the short doc White Fright for The Guardian UK and is directing-producing a feature-length documentary about the history of Palestinian women's organizing.
