Majid Majidi

Born in Tehran in 1959, Majid Majidi is the first Iranian director to receive an Academy Award Nomination for Best Foreign Language Film for Children Of Heaven (1996). His debut feature, Baduk (1991), was presented at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight, and his second effort Father (1995) secured Majidi’s first major prize, at the San Sebastian Film Festival. Majid is a triple winner of the Grand Prix des Amériques at the Montreal World Film Festival and his movie The Song Of Sparrows (2008) won the Golden Bear for Best Actor at the Berlin International Film Festival.

Synopsis
Fresh out of basic training, Leo lands his first assignment: a surveillance operation that sees him roaming the streets of Paris with nothing to do other than remain alert for potential threats. Given the task of securing the borders of a massive anti-government demonstration, Leo finds himself plunged into the heart of a raging crowd. All the pressure and impotent fury that has built up over weeks is about to explode.

Giovanni Aloi

 

Giovanni Aloi is an Italian director. After studying Art History in Bologna and Plastic Arts in Paris VIII, he directed several short films including A Passo d'uomo and E.T.E.R.N.I.T, selected at the Venice Film Festival in 2015. The Third War is his first feature film.

Catherine Corsini began her multi-awarded career in the early 1980s. Since 1994 with Lover, she became a regular of the internationally renowned festivals. Her films were screened in Cannes, Berlin, Rome, Toronto, Locarno and more. With An Impossible Love, adapted from the eponymous Christine Angot novel, she received the SACD award, Henri Langlois and Alice Guy award, as well as four nominations at the 2019 César.
